Day by Day Itinerary
COCHIN (1N) – ATHIRAPALLY (1N) – MUNNAR (2N) – THEKKADY (1N) – KUMARAKOM (1N) – KANYAKUMARI (1N) – KOVALAM(2N) – TRIVENDRUM
Day 1
Cochin to hotel (30kms – 45mins)
On your arrival at Cochin international Airport/ Railway station, meet our executive to Welcome & receive you. Later you will be taken to your hotel at Cochin and after lunch go for sightseeing at Historical Fort Cochin which has a rich heritage and strong historical relationship with English, Portuguese, Dutch, Arabs, Chinese etc. you can visit Dutch Palace, Asia’s best preserved Synagogue, Chinese fish nets, Sea mouth, Beach walk way etc. Overnight stay.
Day 2
Cochin – Athirapally (75kms – 2hrs)
Morning after breakfast proceed to Athirapally (approx. 78KM) for watching the ‘Indian Niagra’ – The famous waterfall and overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3
Athirapally – Munnar (140kms – 4 hrs appx)
After breakfast, check out from hotel. You can do some sightseeing and then proceed to Munnar. On the way see Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls, Karadippara view point. Check in to hotel, spend rest of the evening relaxing in the hotel.
Day 4
Munnar
After breakfast at hotel, visit the popular Eravikulam National Park to view Nilgiri Tahr (rare mountain goats). Visit Tea gardens, Mattupetty Reservoir, Kundala Dam, Tea Museum and factory. You will also visit Echo point where one can clearly hear their loud voice echoing within the reservoir. Rest of the day you can spend on your own holiday activities enjoying the wonderful beauty of Munnar hill station. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 5
Munnar – Thekkady (110 kms – 3.30 hrs approx)
Morning after breakfast start the journey to Thekkady (approx. 110KM) drive through panoramic western ghat hills covered with spice plantations. Throughout this journey you can enjoy different type of spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla etc. check into hotel. After rest, go for boating in periyar lake, which flows through the Periyar tiger reserve. You will have chance to watch the wild animals like elephant, Bison, Sambar, Deer etc are roaming in the both shore. Overnight stay.
Day 6
Thekkady – Kumarakom (120 kms – 3.30 hrs approx)
After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Kumarakom (approx. 120Kms). On arrival here, check-in to the hotel. Visit the Kumarakom bird sanctuary, a favourite haunt of the migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Spend rest of the day at leisure enjoying the superb beauty of picturesque Kerala backwaters. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7
Kumarakom – Kanyakumari (260 kms – 5 ½ hrs approx)
After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari , the southern tip of Indian Sub continent and an important destination for pilgrim as well as leisure travelers. On the way get down at Padmanabapuram Palace an architectural wonder, and reach Kanyakumari at noon. Evening visit the famous Vivekananda rock which is situated in the sea and the statue of Thiruvalluvar on the rock, Gandhi Mandapam Enjoy an ever memorable Sunset from there as it’s the point where Arabian sea, Indian ocean and Bay of Bengal are joining together. Return back to Kovalam. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8
Kanyakumari – Kovalam (85kms – 2 ½ hrs)
Checkout from Resort and proceed to Kovalam, check in to hotel and drive to your beach resort at Kovalam; the international beach destination of Kerala with shallow water for swimming and perfect for other water sports activities. After lunch enjoy the beach till the sun set in the Arabian Sea. Overnight stay.
Day 9
Kovalam – Trivandrum - Kovalam
After breakfast drive to the capital city of Kerala, that is Trivandrum. While here, visit Sri Padmanbhaswamy Temple, where the riches of the old age Kings have been discovered recently. Afterwards visit Napier Museum, an Indo-Saracenic building, containing finest collection of Chola bronzes, ancient carvings, and a number of other unique and priceless treasures from Kerala’s past. After that visit Trivandrum Zoo and do some local shopping. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kovalam.
Day 10
Kovalam
Till noon, have leisure in your hotel and later check out for your return drop to Trivendrum Airport with sweet memories of your trip.
